Who is responsible

Andy Flash DJ & Events, based in Royton, Oldham, is responsible for the personal information you provide through this website or when making an enquiry or booking.

What information I collect and why

When you make an enquiry or booking, I may collect your:

• Name
• Email address
• Telephone number
• Event date and type
• Venue
• Details you provide about your event or booking

I use this information to respond to your enquiry, provide a quotation, manage your booking and provide the services you’ve requested.

The lawful basis for processing this information will normally be taking steps towards entering into a contract with you, performing our contract where you make a booking, or my legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and running my business.

How your information is used and shared

I do not sell or rent your personal information and I do not add you to marketing mailing lists.

Your information is only used where necessary to deal with your enquiry, manage your booking and provide the services you’ve requested.

Some information may be processed through trusted services used to operate the business, such as website hosting, email or booking services. Where necessary, I may also communicate relevant information to your venue or event coordinator to help arrange your event.

I may also need to retain or disclose information where required by law, for accounting purposes, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

Photobooth & Selfie Pod images

When using my photobooth or selfie pod services, photographs are taken as part of the service. Images may be temporarily stored by the booth software or associated service so that photographs can be printed, downloaded or shared with guests.

Where guests choose to have an image sent digitally, they may be asked to provide contact information such as an email address or mobile number for the purpose of delivering that image.

Photobooth and selfie pod images and contact details collected for image delivery will not be sold or used for unrelated marketing purposes.

Images from an event will not be used on my website, social media or other promotional material without appropriate permission.

How long I keep your information

Enquiries that don’t result in a booking will normally be deleted within 12 months.

Information relating to confirmed bookings may be retained for up to six years after the event where necessary for accounting, tax, insurance or legal purposes.

Other information, including photobooth and selfie pod data, will only be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.

Cookies and website services

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies unless stated otherwise.

Video is currently delivered through this website’s own Cloudflare infrastructure rather than a third-party video player. Other parts of the website may use services provided by trusted third parties; where this happens, their processing is subject to the relevant provider’s privacy policy.

If analytics, advertising or other non-essential cookies are introduced in the future, this notice and the website’s cookie controls will be updated as required.

Keeping your information safe

I take reasonable steps to keep the personal information I hold secure and to prevent unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure.

Where third-party services are used to process information on my behalf, I aim to use reputable providers with appropriate data-protection and security measures.

Your rights

Under UK data-protection law, you have rights regarding your personal information. Depending on the circumstances, these can include the right to:

• Ask for a copy of the personal information I hold about you
• Have inaccurate information corrected
• Ask for your information to be deleted
• Ask for the use of your information to be restricted
• Object to certain uses of your information
• Ask for certain information to be transferred to you or another organisation
